I'm really not quite sure the format here.
The AutoYast sample info file, page 28 has:
RC_CONFIG_0 SET_ROOT_PW yes
RC_CONFIG_0 ROOT_START_PW xyxyxxyx
And your saying use SYS_<> instead .
Also, ALICE document uses names with using PWD
while AutoYast uses PW as the last part of the name.
Neither settings seem to work. Does someone have
a sample info file that works ?
I want to edit the info file directly for now and not
use the entire ALICE scripts. Is this possible ?
Is the passwd setup using ALICE scripts or AutoYast ?

Yes of corse!
Please have a look at the Tag-Description of:
- SYS_SET_ROOT_PWD and
- SYS_ROOT_START_PWD
The tag "SYS_SET_ROOT_PWD" (yes/no) defines wether
alice should change the root password or not.
The ENCRYPTED password can be defined inside the tag
SYS_ROOT_START_PWD. Create this encrypted
password using the program htpasswd.
