HI.
I'm curious if there is a way to avoid having AutoYast using bootp
and just stick to DCHP. Is this a driver level exchange or is there
some API that sets this ?
I'm not a network guru, but I understand that DHCP is similar to bootp
on the initial exchange for IP assignment, but the server has to
support
DHCP, bootp, or both.
I've verified that the ICS - DHCP server product that comes on the SuSE
CD
works, but I'm interested in using another server that only supports
DHCP for
network installs.
Thanks, John.
