Did you create a new initrd that is placed in initrd ?

Where / how does the tag "SYS_INSMOD_MODULES" find the
specified modules?
I've a 3Com 3c90x and ALICE can't find the module even though it's where
I expected it. Curiously Alice can find the 3c59x module.
