Yes I know what you mean. This is an open task. So far you could do the
following:
Copy all update rpms in a singe directory or in a directory structure
beside the "original" one.
In Your alice config you set <ALICE_POST_SCRIPT> to a script
you prefer or to update_rpms.
This script searches for all update-rpms and invoke rpm (usinfgthe -F
option for "freshen" the rpms. This only installs newer versions of rpms
if the rpm has been installed so far, so other new rpms are ignored...
The restrictions are, that you could not echange every package using
this method (maybee the package containing the kernel or the glibc
make some trouble).
You have to configure the tag <SYS_UPDATE_RPM_LOCATION> to
use the script. Possible entries:
# VALUE: nsf://server/path
# file:[//]/path
So this allows to have an update server, installing from an other
install server or from DVD, .... Hope its flexible enought :-)
I have attached the file to this email, because I think its to new for
the alice*.rpm.
