Hi!
I still having problems with my ALICE-Installation (see my message
"Installation of SLES 7 on a DELL Poweredge 2650 - strange things happen..."
for details)
Now my question (maybe Fabian Herschel knows the answer or can say something
about it?):
What is the difference between running the ALICE-installation automatically
(just put in the diskette and wait) and going through the menues of YaST?
Remember my problem:
Installation fails at the point the system wants to mount the NFS-directory.
(message: "An error occured
while trying to mount the nfs directory. Reason given by server: unknown
error")
But if i say OK and go trough the menues of the now displayed YaST (without
changing the settings!!!) the installation works! So i donīt think there is
a problem with my network-configuration.
I think there is a difference in the installation procedure of ALICE - but
where?
Thanks a lot!
