The manual shipped with SuSE-AXP is a funny book - you can see, that the most important
changes to make it AXP-compatible where made in just a few hours ;-)
after compiling the kernel, I have got the vmlinux.gz
now I want to install this as my second kernel (I start the AXP with ARC/NT-Bios-Console)
...
but:
in the manual they talk about an vmlinuz, but I have got the gzipped Verion (??)
vmlinux.gz - what do I have to do? ungzip it?
And how can I use the kernel as second kernel?
can I rename the old one in /dos and /boot to vmlinuz_suse and simply make the changes in
the ARC-Console?
Because you con't boot the System over linuxrc I better ask before ;-)
ThanX
Philipp
