    This is not suse-axp-kernel or suse-axp-developers@ mailing lists either.
    I cannot imagine why we cannot bring up issues like this on this list.

    I , for one , choose Linux as an OS on my alpha's because I do not want to BUY
    any
    Microsoft products because of poor value for mony.
    OSF / DU / Tru64 was always a bit to expensive for me.

    I do mind using illegal licences. (Yes some people DO care)

    As far as I am concerned it is a good thing for Compaq to
    "open up" and share knowledge, make hobbists licenses available for
    nice prices , etc.

    IMHO , we should all encourage Compaq to do so even more !
