I'm having problems with my new installation of SuSE 7.0.
At first, XFree 4.0 doesn't work. All I get is a black screen when I fire
sax2 up. I also tried to use xf86config4 but that doesn't work
either. I've looked in /var/log/XFree86.x.log and the only problem i find
is(x=1):
(EE) Failed to load module "glx" (module does not exist, 0)
The other problem is with sound. I've recently installed a SB 64PCI
(es1370) and whenever I try to use it the computer freezes hard. So hard
not even SysRQ is working. Any idea as to what may be causing this
problem. Perhaps the card isn't compatible with Alpha, or? Anyone have
experience?
If there is another PCI soundcard that someone else has gotten to work
could you please inform me so that I know what card to purchase.
