I'm running 6.4 on an AlphaStation 200. Netscape is unable to surf to
any named host, e.g. www.suse.de, but if I specify the ip-address
instead all is well. From the shell I can do nslookup, ping, etc to
whatever named host I want, so I believe my basic network setup is OK.
Netscape displays an error box stating that the specified host name
could not be resolved and suggests I should specify the SOCKS_NS
environemnt variable, which I've tried to no avail. what to do?
/Lennart Boerjeson (And how come Netscape refuses to accept ö
ä and å from my keyboard, forcing my to write "ae", "oe" and
"aa" instead? Those keys, too, work in the konsole and in emacs etc...)
