Subject: Sound on AS200

Can someone give me some advice on how to get sound from my AlphaStation
200? The hardware is the original "Microsoft/Windows Sound System"? I tried
uncommenting the corresponding lines in /etc/modules.conf, and got some
encouraging output from /dev/sndstat, but the Console logs timeouts with a
possible hint of incorrect IRQs, at which point I feel stuck...

The system is SuSE 6.4, installed from scratch on an Avanti/Mustang ==
AlphaStation 200 4/166.
