6.4 and the jensen

    Hello everybody!

    I have installed 6.4 on my Jensen. I was really happy to see how smoothly
    it installed directly from the cdrom. Even the bsd-partitioning and
    swritebooting was automatic. Good job!
    (One comment though, it would have been nice if the manual would explain
    that one has to use the aboot.conf entry 3)
    One problem still bugs me though. X11R6 3.3.6 does not run, but kocks out
    my graphic adapter (elsa winner 1000 twinbus in eisa mode) (the screen
    goes black, only a powerdown brings it back up). The old X 3.3.5
    (6.3) executable of the S3-server instead of the 3.3.6 (6.4) can rescue
    X11.
    Has anybody solved that problem already, otherwise I will go into it (but
    I am no expert, heck not even a coder).
