Subject: unresolved symbol ___delay ?

Hi,

yesterday I compiled a new Kernel from the SuSE-original Kernel source
of SuSE 6.3 AXP, because somehow I had no isdn-modules (hisax) in my
6.3-installation. The machine is a PC164LX (Kerneltype=LX ?!). I
compiled ++with++ version information for modules and everything went
fine (kernel boot ok!) until I tried to install hisax.o via Yast(1).
This resulted in:
        unresolved symbol ___delay in hisax.o

Closer inspection (depmod -e) showed that ___delay is unresolved in over
15 modules, I suspect everywhere itīs used.
There was no compile message/warning/error concerning the function
___delay() and it is declared <external something ___delay(something)>
in the module source and <EXPORT_SYMBOL>ed in arch/alpha/alpha_ksyms.c
(if I recall correctly).

So is there any Guru to enlighten me with his/her wisdom ???

Tia
        Thomas
