This is a known problem on 6.3, but I tested 6.4 on an AS400 4/233
(ev4) and it works now.

This is new to me, sax worked on my ev4 (and also on the other Alphas)
You may have a look at /var/log/messages, to see what happened.
Is it still possible to switch to another console, or does the system hang
completely ?
It is not possible to switch to another console, but I can stop sax and
return to the alpha console by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Backspace. The file
/var/log/messages does not contain any information about sax.
I noticed another problem. The mouse driver hangs after I have switched the
mouse to another computer and then back to the Suse system. This is no
problem for the OpenVMS mouse driver and -sorry- for the W98 mouse driver.

The exact identification string (first line in SRM console after boot) is:
DEC AXPpci233 MT Common Console X4.5-819, built on Apr 29 1996 at 16:00:04
