Subject: Is CMU SNMP implementation buggy?

    Hi,

I just installed SuSE 6.3 on a PW433au. So far I got no problems (besides
the somewhat tricky installation). From the former 6.1 installation I knew
that the CMU SNMP did not work properly. And so does the packet delivered
wit 6.3. For example, if I try to get some variables from a remote machine
via snmpwalk, I get the following result:
            Error building packet
            An Error occured, Quitting
I know that the remote machine is OK, because I can query it from another
computer. Furthermore, the snmpd also does not answer any requests.
I think I configured the demon right, but it seems not to work.
    Any hints (besides 'don't panic')

            Thomas
