It is likely that you do not have the latest release.
The version we installed is ccc-6.2.9.504-2.
which does not require egcs1.0.3a.
I recall an earlier version had this problem, and it was fixed.

I have done that too, but when I received retail version of 6.4 and did full
install, it failed to install, due to lacking egcs1.0.3a
Did you try released version yet?
Why does Compaq ccc require such a old thing, as egcs1.0.3a?(or I guess
later,but)
