Hi out there!
At first I've got to say that I'm not experienced with Alphas at all.
I just tried to install SuSE on an AS250/4.
Therefore I created a "aboot" disk with rawrite and the file "aboot_xx" from
ftp.suse.com.
To boot the disk I enter at the SRM console:
boot dva0 -f vmlinuz.gz -flags "root=/dev/fd0 load_ramdisk=1
/bootdevice=/dev/fd0"
This is the screen output I get:
reading 156 blocks from dva0.0.0.0.1
bootstrap code read in
base = lf2000, image_start = 0, image_bytes = 13800
Initializing HWRPB at 2000
Initializing page table at 1e4000
Initializing machine stab
Setting affinity to the primary CPU
Jumping to bootstrap code
Then the machine hangs up.
Thank you for any tips!
