Look at http://www.compaq.com/alphaserver/archive/1000/index.html.
Note that there was also a 1000A model available.

Betreff: [suse-axp] Q: AlphaServer 1000
Hi!
I just got informed that there will be a spare AlphaServer 1000 4-233
which I intend to use for linux.
It has plenty of diskspace and memory, so i guess it might be a
worth to set it up as Fileserver.
What kind of machine is the AlphaServer 1000 4-233?
It has PCI/EISA Bus Architecure.
Is this a Noritake Type Machine ?
Is it supported by Suse 7.1 ?
and can I prepare the installation with the Compaq Jumpstart CD?
I currently have a PWS433a (Miata) machine running where i learned some
lessons
about SRM and aboot.
If anyone has a similar machine, I would appreciate a short response very
much.
TIA, Werner
