    Subject: Netscape routing problem

    Hi,

since KDE2 and thus konqueror is still not available for alpha (SuSE
    7.0/KDE2 not working!)
I really would like to see Netscape 4.75 running on my PC164LX.
I installed the Netscape RPM from SuSE 7.0 (think itīs 4.75) but it
cannot resolve remote hostnames. I +did+ look up sdb.suse.de but it is
not a problem of my Nameserver settings,
nslookup, ping, kfm, telnet, etc. all work fine over the ISDN dial up
connection, only Netscape is unable to use hostnames. It works with
    IP-adresses!
I tried to solve the problem with the SOCKS_NS environment variable to
    no avail.

    Any suggestions ????

    T.i.a. Thomas
