    Hi to all,

    just for your information:

    I upgraded an Alpha Station 200 4/166 ("Avanti") from kernel
    2.2.9 to 2.2.16 (SuSE 6.1 -> 7.0).
    The machine has a "Digital DC21040 Tulip" ethernet card.

    I could not access the ethernet at all using the new kernel.

    I then changed the configuration to use the "old" version
    of the driver ("CONFIG_DEC_ELCP_OLD"), now it works.
