Hey!
I just (was away on a buisness trip - sorry) finished some work on the
autoconf system of kde2 to enable the compiler to work. configure now detects
a linux-AXP system and checks for cxx and ccc. If they are present (and no
other compiler is set as preferred) it will use a sensible commmand line to
compile. So far fine!
Now the prob. the Makefile (or libtool) seem to forget about some C-compiled
objects. So once in a while the make process will break telling you about
missing function definitions. When you then take the command line of the
linking process and add the C-object the function is defined in - viola it
works. No compiling of C-code (already done), no recompiling of anything,
just add the file to the link process. How can that be?!? Any clues? If not I
will run a very last test tonight and tomorrow post the URL of the modified
configure System (its only one file really). Then we can do a group efford on
it.
