Hi,
Been having problems with xscreensaver suddenly and inexplicably stopping,
leaving the system totally unresponsive to keyboard or mouse. Only recourse
has been the reboot button: very inelegant! I have been unable to locate any
error messages indicating where the problem might have occurred.
Running SuSE 7.1 on LX164 (Durango II), Matrox Millenium II, with 128 M
memory, and KDE2. Thinking it might be an X problem, I upgraded to XFree86
4.1 (from the SuSE site), but after a few days of error-free operation, the
same problem occurs.
Any suggestions or recommendations appreciated.
Kudos on 7.1 and KDE2: had given up on KDE 1 because of the multiplicity of
unaligned traps; glad to see none now.
TIA
