    Yes I have...

    go to $ORACLE_HOME/dbs and rename your initSID.ora file...

    it has the SID in lower case whereas it should be upper case..

    in my case my instance is named OCL1

    so I had to do

    mv initocl1.ora initOCL1.ora

    this fixed this problem...

    now I'm getting ORA-01102 errors... any ideas? See my other post..
