    Quentin,

    usually you get a log file written during installation where the reason of
    the failure is documented. You should see the path and the name of this
    file in your installer screen (usually something like
    oraInventory/logs/installAction...).

    Try to look in there and find out what the failure caused. If it is a
    linker command you will see the reason why the linker failed. It seems as
    if you are running into a different problem and the log should tell you.
