Hi,
i am using SLES 8 with Oracle 9i Release 2 (+Patch2; exact version: 9.2.0.3).
A few weeks ago i successful configured Oracle 9i (without installed Patch 2) with VLM by
adding "use_indirect_data_buffers=true" to my init.ora. So i was able to create a 6 GB SGA
on a system with 12 GB RAM.
On a newly fresh installed system i patched the kernel to k_smp-2.4.19-233.i586.rpm.
Upon startup i get the error:
SQL> Linux Error: 12: Cannot allocate memory
I donīt know whether the new kernel or the installed patch 2 causes this error.
Any help ??
