Subject: [suse-oracle] X -query <host> vtxx :x on united linux

Hello colleagues

If you do not understand the subject line drop this e-mail.

To the others:
I have installed united linux to run oracle 9i R2 (one node RAC), application server 9i R2 and 6i Forms & Reports.
Everything is running pretty.

But after installation I took the server it its rack without any consle and I want to connect to it like in former times via a linux workstation (suse lx 7.2 prof.) and this X-server query.
But I got only the information: can not connect to host/server.
I do not understand because on the monitor the entry screen appears (grey background with an "X" for the mouse) and on the united linux server I can see that there is a connection established (duration: 30 sec until 90 sec, not methodically).

Every other network (ftp, telnet, samba, sqlnet, apache, udp) traffic is ok.

The default firewall is up and running.

In former editions (sles7) I have had to configure in /usr/X11 the grafical broadcast request but on united linux I do not find this directory any more.

Do you have a hind?

regards

gesa
