Hi, experts
I try to bring Oracle Reports Server 6i (Developer 6i)
under a SuSe 8.2 to running.
The installation seems not to be the problem.
Motif Lib's ("downgrade" to openmotif-2.1.30MLI4-109)
are found and linked and the installation is ending with
success.
Afterwards the report server can be started and it announces itself
also at the database.
(Rep60_<machine>.ora: "repositoryconn=<USER>/<PW>@>DB").
However if an engine (rwrun60) is starting at serverstartup,
the report server is terminated after 2 min with:
"REP-0187: Server engine cannot be started"
I do not have any more ideas to bring the server up
and the global question for me is:
"Is there a chance to bring up Oracle Reports Server 6i on SuSe 8.2?"
Perhaps you can tell me an answer....
