Have a look at $ORACLE_HOME/bin/dbassist, the very bottom. I think (have no
oracle install here right now) there were two different ways to start the
Java gui - just disable what's active now and enable the other one and see if
that helps - it worked for me although I don't remember which of the tools
that was were I used that "trick"
