Hello:

I just looked at my $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/lib/ins_rdbms.mk and I couldn't find
any async_on target. I also did an egrep for async_on in all the *.mk files
in that directory. I have 9.0.2.4.0 installed (latest patchset). What
version of Oracle are you talking about that requires this?

> To enable AIO, you must relink oracle.
> shutdown all oracle process, cd $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/lib; make -f
>ins_rdbms.mk async_on; make -f ins_rdbms.mk ioracle
