Subject: [suse-oracle] ?
Hi,
within a project we already checked that an old 9i database runs on 10g
aswell. In future the database should run on RAC. Now we have the
following idea of integration.
- Installing RAC on 2 nodes.
- No loadbalacing, 2 instances (different ones), one on each node
- Failover for each instance
Later we would use the complete RAC functionality.
We would like to avoid an installation of two stand-alone DB servers
because there is no testing hardware for the integration.
Does all this sound suitable ?
Th@nx 4 your help,
Maurice
