You got me an idea - I'll try to 'ethereal' traffic and find out, if it is
because MOTIF
creates an update backlog (because of slower link than it was designed for)
and application is waiting on updates, or
it is pure 'event loss' on Motif.
Anyway, problem do exists - trry to start 'dbca' thru link with 256K
bandwidth and 100msec delay.

Sorry Alexei,
but the first thing I ask when someone report me a network issue is: "Is
the network cable plugged?".
Of course, I spared you this question.
