Hi All..I have a an SLES 9 acting as a LDAP Server. Slapcat and ldap
search commands are giving right results but I am trying to configure
the Directory Administrator that comes bundled alongwith.
I have tried all the settings with all the possible entries for cn, dn
etc., but when I reach the button that says TEST CONNECTION, I end up
getting a "Connection failed: protocol error." I have tried entering
both localhost and 127.0.0.1 in the Server name fields to connect to,
but still it fails. Any ideas?
Also, of What use is the LDAP Client tool in SLES. Can I use it to
configure my LDAP Server than runs on the same machine.
The GQ client runs fine but I cannot do much with it except viewing the
already made database during initiall installation of LDAP. I want to
veiw all the default groups and OUs and add OU's without using LDIF
files. Is that possible through Directory Adminitrator?
Please Advise.
