Seems that directory_administrator only supports LDAPv2. To work around
you could try to add "allow bind_v2" to your /etc/openldap/slapd.conf
(see the slapd.conf man page for details)

Are you talking about the LDAP Client YaST Module? If yes, that YaST
module is used to configure the machine as an LDAP Client (nss_ldap and
pam_ldap configuration mainly)

GQ should work better. AFAIK Directory Adminitrator doesn't show the
OUs. It only displays users and groups.
