I've three ethernet cards in my box and they are named something like
"ifcfg-eth-id-00:00:1a:19:32:f4" under
"/etc/sysconfig/network/scripts".
I want to know in which file SLES 9.0 maps these ifcfg-eth-id-* scripts to
interfaces like eth0, eth1.... and also how SLES identifies which card is
eth0, eth1.....
After installation I want to automatically setup an IP for the machine [i.e.
without going through YAST]. If I had one network card, I could have
just added the info to that ifcfg-eth* file but since there are
multiple cards, I'm not sure which file corrosponds to the eth0
interface. What's the easiest way of accomplishing this ?
Many thanks
Andy
