Have you tried setting the "deadtime" parameter to something like 90 ? This
sounds like the server is killing the inactive connections every 15 mins.
(deadtime = 15)
Which would explain why there is a small delay when opening files after the
deadtime period. It should be set to 0 by default, but try to set it to a
larger number to see if this is the case.
