Can I make an advice.

Never ever install separate packages downloaded by FTP. Install (when
possible) the whole _Service pack upgrade_. (SLES9 -> SLES9 SP1 -> SLES9
SP2, in our case, wait few weeks for SP2 release).

Else, you will have _untested_ combination with a higher chance of
getting into the bug or incompatibility.
