Subject: [suse-sles-e] SLES9 as Domain Controller

I have a SLES9 as PDC in our network. Everything works fine with Windows XP
clients, all logins, profiles etc. are managed just as expected.

Users are stored in LDAP, all users has /bin/bash as their login shell, and
the can all log on to the SLES9 server on the console as well as from their
Windows workstations.

Now I'm doing some testing with a SuSE 9.3 workstation, no domain users can
log in to that one. The workstation has correctly joined the domain, and
when I as root issue a "getent passwd" command, all the domain users are
listed, however here they're listed as having a login shell of /bin/false.

That means that when a domain user tries to log in to the 9.3 WS, the user
is presented by "Login is disabled".

I must have missed some setting on either the SLES9 PDC or the workstation,
but I can't find it.

Help, please? :)
