Subject: [suse-sles-e] Postfix - strange DNS problem

Hi list,

On my SLES9 server, I have bind setup, and it's working perfectly fine.
I can dig @127.0.0.1 www.google.com for example and get the correct
address. My users use this server's internal address for dns, no
problems there either.

But for some reason, when I put 127.0.0.1 in /etc/resolv.conf, and
comment out the other entries (like our firewall, ect), I get the
following error in postfix:

May 8 14:44:47 hercules postfix/smtp[27541]: B47873C014:
to=<hansdp@hercules.example.com>, orig_to=<hansdp@example.com>,
relay=none, delay=1, status=deferred (Host or domain name not found.
Name service error for name=localhost type=A: Host not found, try again)

I havent changed anything in the postfix or bind configs - set them up
with yast the same way I do it on 9.2 Pro. The only difference is my
users and bind domains are in ldap, but I don't get any ldap related
errors.

Thanks
