Which package version have you tested?
/usr/sbin/smbd -V
or
rpm -q samba
If your version is older than 3.0.21a-1.1 please try again with the
packages we uploaded earlier this morning. We just fixed a seg fault.
Since the last weekend we ensure to have an always increased Samba
package RPM release number. This will allow our customers to run
packages from ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/samba/ or
download.Samba.org/samba/ftp/Binary_Packages/SuSE/ and while still using
YaST Online Update (YOU) and SLES Service Pack (SP) ISOs/ CDs package
sources.
If you still have the same problem we'll provide packages for SLES 8
with enabled debug symbols. Unluckily we don't have the debuginfo
feature in the SLES 8 bebugging tool chain.
