Just to give you my experiences with brightstor arcserve:

After having used it for several years on windows, we decided to also
buy it for linux when we switched from windows to linux. (why change a
winning team..?)

HOWEVER. We've had a lot of problems with it. I must admit: they have
good support and by now all the problems are solved, but boy... we
needed the support!

I'll not describe the various problems here, but if I could choose
again, I would NOT have bought arcserve.
