I remember reports, but I never saw any prove, that it have anything with
ReiserFS (but I can be wrong). ReiserFS is default in SuSe, and it means
that most installations are on it (people rarely change defaults); LDAP is
one of the primary authentication system, and it wil run (again, by default)
on reiserfs.

I checked this old thread (few links do note exists anymore) - nothing
except suggestion _may be, my reiserfs complciated problem_,
so I better eliminate it as a core source. (But it behave differently vs
ext3, and if system fail during active file update, resulting file can
differ a little /which changes survive and which not/, so it really can play
it's role. But it means only, that LDAP cannot survive system crash /not
surprise for me/ if it happen during active data update).
