Subject: [suse-sles-e] Sendmail 8.12.10 SLES9 Domain Masquerading

Hi all,

I am wondering whether anyone can help me?

I am using Sendmail 8.12.10 on a SLES9 box using the RPMs from SP3, and have
installed a third party application (Scalix) on the machine which sends
outgoing mail through Sendmail via local.

However, when we have this condition, Sendmail seems to be re-writing the
domain part of the message like this:

From: Andrew Hodgson <Andrew.hodgson@domain.com>

To:

From: Andrew Hodgson <Andrew.hodgson@machine.domain.com>.

I cannot use the Sendmail macros or the /etc/sysconfig/sendmail because
Scalix modified the CF file directly, and switched off the SuSeconfig option
for that file, so I am having to manually edit the file.

I have tried to disable domain masquerading by changing the following line:

DMdomain.com

To just:

DM

However, after restarting sendmail using rcsendmail restart it still has the
same problem.

Anywhere else this may be set where I need to alter?

Thanks,
Andrew.
