Problems with Dual DisplayI playied with the server, having one of this !@#$ new NV cards, and the only way I made it work was using slow VESA mode;
it was OK for the server (because it do npot need GUI 95% of the time), but I am not sure how it works for you.
So
- if it is a server, replace card by the normal one (hate ATI!); server do not need fast GUI; or try VESA mode;
- if it is workstation , install SuSe 10 or OpenSuSe, which both have drivers - workstation do npot need server software;
- OR install RedHat, because drivers (for it) are available in binaries.
You can download driver kit for ATI (from their site) and run setup program wich wil compile modules and try to install, but it did not worked (out of the box) for me so I used simpler approach (compatibility _VESA BIOS_ mode).

Subject: [suse-sles-e] Problems with Dual Display
Hi All,
I am trying to configure SLES 9 for Multi-Headed Display.
I am using a ATI Radeon 7000 Dual Headed Display card
I put the card in the slot and booted into the GUI. But the gui didnt come up
I went into runlevel 3 and did a X -configure
root# X -configure
It displays the following error :
(II) LoadModule: "nv"
(II) Loading /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/nv_drv.o
Duplicate symbol NVDACi2cInit in /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/nv_drv.o
Also defined in /usr/X11R6/lib/modules/drivers/nvidia_drv.o
Fatal server error:
Module load failure
It could be to do with the drivers for the radeon 7000. If so where can i get the drivers
Can anyone please guide me in setting this up
Regards
CT
The error log is attached
