It is not a resolution. As I know:
- you can install SLES9 - release, Sp1, Sp2 or SP3 onto DELL 2850 using SPx
disk as a boot source without problems, and then upgrade.
- you cannot upgrade SLES9 release into SP2 without intermediate SP1 upgrade
SP1 (I am not sure about SP3).
- if you install from network , you must use the same boot kernel (on
tftpboot) as you have in installation source.
SO, if you updated http installation source to SLES9 SP3 and did not updated
tftp server, you will see exactly this problem.
Now - did Novell's support provided this information?
