Even more.

You can:
- make system in a few steps;
- then run backup.
- backup creates autoinstall file. If you make fresh install using this
file, you should (in theory) got the same system. But you can edit
autoinstall file (for example, remove _restore from backup_ section) and so
have cloned system with all necessary changes.

I didn't phrase this well. You could have an installation server with
regular SLES9. AutoYaST will allow you to define an install "recipe"
that will go on by itself and will add whatever rpms or files you need.
Also you could do that with ZENworks afterwards. The ideea is that you
can define a highly automated procedure to get your customized
installation.
