SLES9 server, web devs are using forms to send email using postfix.
All that has been done with postfix is to install it from yast
software management. I was surprised that I didn't seem to need to
configure anything, but it was working ...
subsequently the devs have told me:
"The email coming out of the server seems sporadic. We will submit a
form and sometimes we get an email, sometimes we don't."
So, I figured I would check into the config, and figured that I would
do it with YAST. The only config option I can find in yast is "Mail
Transfer Agent". Is this postfix, or do I need to config postfix by
hand?
If "Mail Transfer Agent" is NOT postfix ... should I be using postfix
for this simple web-forms email servicing function, or Mail Transfer
Agent?
Peter
