Hi All,

*** Newbie Alert ***

Yes, I am new to the group and I am relatively new to Linux (8mths).
I have used Unix and SCO for many years but I have never been a
sys admin person.

We have rolled out a number of Pentium 4s with SuSE 9.1 Ent. and
our applications, but the last one does not bring up the Login prompt
immediately. It takes about 5-7 seconds using ssh/putty connecting
from a windows client pc.

Any help is appreciated - sorry if this has already been addressed.
