Hi Alain,

The version of PuTTY is release 0.57 and I clone my settings for
each connection. The Preferred SSH protocol version is set to 2
on all of them.

This particular machine is onsite at the clients with no other SuSE
boxes. We do not have access to the other Linux servers there either.

My boss and I use notebook computers (WinXP) onsite and both of
our machines display similar symptoms. The users sometimes use a
telnet session and its the same for them as well.

Could my problem be something like the DNS is not set correctly
or Samba is getting involved?

Regards,
*Andrew*
