I tried longer bufsize and performance is still bad.
s05|~|1012# time -p dd if=/dev/sdd of=/dev/null bs=1024k count=4000
2>/dev/null
real 46.31
user 0.00
sys 3.36
s05|~|1013# time -p dd if=/dev/sdc of=/dev/null bs=1024k count=4000
real 642.22
user 0.00
sys 3.08
I.e. about 80MB/sec via proxy path and 6MB/sec via direct path.
I booted the machine with really old kernel - custom 2.4.24 with qla driver
ver 6.05.60-fo and
was able to get fair 40MB/sec, all newer driver versions give about 6MB/sec.
Here HBA is connected to NetApp via brocade silkworm 200e fc swicth. Could
it be a problem?
In two other machines we have direct connection to R200 netapp and all is
OK.
