What's wrong with it?? SLES9 (not a SLES10) is a rock-solid Linux, well
compatible (again, not as SLES10) and so
it deserve to work for us for 5 - 10 years (good example - RedHat AS 2.1 -
is a classical Linux, working for many of us
many years without any support). So, they can make even SLES9 SP10, it will
be a good business choice. Just add heartbeat2 and
make available few application rpm's (such as new Jboss or Tomcat), and
that's all.

Those who need XEN or desktop will use SLES10. Those who need stability will
use SLES9. SLES10 can't replace it because of numerous incompatibilities (it
dropperd many libraries, old threading system, and so on). I don't need
fresh new Linux to run things like Oracle; I need as stable Linux as I can
get, for this purpose.

This document is showing that SLES9 will go upto SP6, this is really
unbelievable. Never saw a SLES
 cycle goes upto SP6.
