Main problem with this tools is that they never are tested on the Linux
version which you use, or even if they was tested, it works only until first
OS upgrade.
Then you have untested tools on new OS kernel, which have a potential for
the errors.

I don't bypass this toolks in reality, but each time, when I instal them, I
feel it as _installing a lot of garbage which can break a system_, because
this tools are
not tested by OS vendor, and are often overcomplicated (DELL openmanager)
comparing to their task (get system informathion from hardware). In many
cases, they arre badly designed, use such things as Java RMI (to manage OS
!!) and use a lot of memory.

Simple question - are DELL and P tools tested on CURRENT SLES9 SP3 YOU
upgrade on x86_64 servers?
I mean - stress tested, tested for long run memory leaks and so on?
